Aquarabia opens in Saudi Arabia claiming four world records

Qiddiya City's 250,000 m² water park opened on 23 April 2026 with 22 rides, the Junoon Drop water coaster, a 27-metre AquaLoop and the Slithereel SlideWheel.

Aquarabia, the water park at Qiddiya City outside Riyadh, opened to the public on 23 April 2026. It covers 250,000 square metres with 22 rides in eight themed zones. WhiteWater West supplied more than 20 attractions; Falcon’s Creative Group did the master plan and Water Technology Inc. the aquatic design.

The four claims

  • Junoon Drop: a “Family Mega Drop” water coaster of about 12 storeys, claimed as the world’s tallest and longest water coaster. It would top Massiv’s Guinness-certified 24.86 m.
  • Speedy Jamezales: an AquaLoop of about 27 metres, ten metres more than the standard design.
  • Slithereel: claimed as the longest SlideWheel built.
  • Jamal Joom: a six-lane mat blaster claimed as the world’s longest and tallest.

None had been certified by Guinness World Records as of September 2026, so our record book lists them as claims. Aquarabia also has Aquaticar, a Sub Sea Systems ride in which guests drive a car underwater.

Do not confuse the park with the neighbouring Sirocco Tower at Six Flags Qiddiya, a 145-metre dry drop tower that opened on 31 December 2025.
