Going uphill

Slides can't go uphill by themselves. Builders use water jets, hidden magnets or a moving belt to push the raft up.Water jets (Master Blaster, RocketBLAST) fire pressurised nozzles along the flume floor to shove tubes up each hill. Linear induction motors (ProSlide HydroMAGNETIC) create a travelling magnetic field that acts on conductive plates in the raft; ProSlide says the LIMs are on only about 2.5% of the time. Conveyor belts simply lift the raft. Wiegand's 2025 Slide Coaster uses a magnetic launch.
